Sufi Siyaha Festival in Siwa Oasis: PhotoWorkshop by Maro Kouri Video Τhe annual Siyaha Festival is an ancient Sufi ceremony that lasts three days and three nights in the idyllic Siwa Oasis which appears out of the western Desert of Egypt like a proverbial mirage. Thousands of rich and poor Siwans gather to celebrate the date harvest on the October full moon and renew the circle of forgiveness and brotherhood to let go all the quarrels that might have broken out during the previous year!
